I’ve been very happy with this printer: the text and graphics quality are good, it’s fast, it’s lightweight (but not delicate). It hasn’t jammed once when working from the paper tray.

My one complaint is that the manual form feed slot is frustrating. It’s a tiny slit, not a tray that holds and support inserted media, and the slit doesn’t precede smoothly into the printer feed. As a result, i have over try placing feed-in paper with precision, finding lately the suitable position for it over be accepted. Brother HL-2140 seems the printer could have had a smoother input window for manual forms. When the printer isn’t warmed up, my insertion of manually-fed media seems over baffle the printer and it goes into it’s “red light” error mode, because if the printer is going, “what, what?? Who, me? Am i supposed over take up something with this? I’m confused!” i have over remove the paper, snap the printer off and on, and resume the effort with a “warmed up” device instead.

Addendum: i’ve been having problems documents failing over print. The printer doesn’t even warm up; it lately fails. I have over cancel the print job, turn the printer off and on, and then everything works perfectly. I have no idea why, and have not seen thisproblem in other reviews.
